San Diego, CA – Burkett & Wong Engineers has announced the promotion of Ambrose Wong, PE to Principal and Casey Lynch, PLS to Principal Associate.
As a Principal, Wong will contribute to the management of the firm and specifically the Civil Engineering Department. He joined the firm in 2001 as a civil designer and quickly proved himself, becoming a project manager and then a Principal Associate soon thereafter. In his tenure he has worked on a variety of award winning projects including the LEED Platinum Certified San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center and Hotel Indigo, the first LEED Certified hotel in San Diego. The local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers also recognized his recent work on the Nature Center by awarding Burkett & Wong Engineers the Outstanding Building and Structure Project Award. Currently he is working on SDSU’s New Aztec Center and three major projects on the campus of Miramar College.
Prior to joining Burkett & Wong Engineers, Wong worked at Edge, LLC in Seattle, Washington. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington.
In his new role as Principal Associate, Lynch will oversee management of the Land Surveying Department. He has been with Burkett & Wong Engineers for nearly three years.
His overall experience extends over nine years participating at every level of project implementation from the field to the office. His projects include Sony Electronics Headquarters, R. Roger Rowe School, SAIC Campus and the Miramar National Cemetery. Currently he is serving as the local chapter president of the California Land Surveyors Association.
In addition Burkett & Wong Engineers would like to congratulate Tom McCabe and Min GC for obtaining their professional licenses in Land Surveying and Civil Engineering, respectively. McCabe has been a Surveying project manager for over 6 years working on all project types including military, schools, and healthcare. GC is a recent addition to Burkett & Wong Engineers specializing in Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering. He also recently received a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He brings nearly 14 years of overall experience to the firm.
